PADI Open Water Diver
Become a certified diver with PADI Open Water Diver course and learn about the fundamentals of scuba diving. The PADI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized, allowing divers to scuba dive, as well as rent scuba equipment and tanks, worldwide. The course lasts between 3 and 4 days, depending on the student's comfort level in the water. The course consists of a theoretical portion, videos, and in-person teaching by a PADI instructor.
The course also includes confined water sessions and four open water dives. Students must be in good health to take the Open Water Diver course and are required to complete a medical questionnaire. We recommend that students visit their doctor at home, complete the medical questionnaire, and obtain medical approval before registering for the course.
PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Tours
The benefits of Enriched Air Nitrox Tours include longer bottom times, shorter surface intervals, longer repetitive dive time, reduced exhaustion, and overall increased safety and comfort. Sam's Tours was the first dive center in Palau to offer Nitrox in 1997, and today, we proudly offer divers the added comfort and safety of diving with Nitrox up to 32% for FREE! Note: Divers must be over 15 years of age and Open Water Diver Certified to take the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
This course includes Advanced Open Water Diver orientation (theory) and five Specialty Diver courses: two required core dives (Deep and Navigation), and a choice of three elective dives (Night, Boat, Drift, Multilevel, Photography, Wreck, and Underwater Naturalist). The course normally lasts two days. Divers must be 15 years old or older, and Open Water Diver (or equivalent) certified to participate in this course.
PADI Blue Corner Specialty
Palau's Blue Corner is one of the world's most famous dive sites where sharks, barracuda, snappers, jacks, eagle rays, turtles, wrasse, and much more can be explored. You will begin with approximately two hours of informative lecture about the geology, aquatic life, and negotiation of currents in the region. This is followed by two dives in Blue Corner, incorporated into one or two dive days in your dive package, booked separately from the course.
